Sunrise eyes

sunrise eyes rise
giving life and flow
to the tides and waves
that crash forbidden shores

i set sail
for the auburn eyes
that captivated my mind
guided my sight to sensual heights

the emotion and feeling
that i persist to hide
i hold within the vitrines of life
hidden away from the light of day

Painters Glorify

painters glorify the violence
but photographs leave people in silence
in this mindless, questionable
often distasteful day and age

where rage beckons
not to let conformity set and create
feelings of self-loathing
because you do not possess

the image society projects
as our culture tries to relate the ideals
of uniqueness and individuality
but all it conveys is conformity

Watery Streets

i walk on watery streets
taking leaps of faith
trying to find that niche
trying to find that place
from stone to stone
i’m always alone
comes down to seclusion at home
taking time with thoughts
as my world rots
never get caught
in moments and spots

Shadowed

Originally written in September 2006

The glow of daylight deteriorates
giving rise to the full blue moon
that casts the shadows of illusion and doubt
across the mountains
that pierce the fog and meet the sky.

I stare into the perpetual sea of darkness
searching for the auburn glow of your eyes,
but only find the diffused burning of street lights
that poison my mind
and drive me further away.

The distance that separates plagues
me with the uncertainty
